Japan 2006In November 2006 I stepped foot in Japan for the second time in my life. It is also the first time I got my hands on a DSLR, a Nikon D70s with a 18-70mmm kit lens, so it is a very memorable trip. I went straight to Japan after buying the camera, and forgot about getting more memory cards. I am armed with a single 256Mb card, so I was forced to shoot jpg for the entire trip, and had to download them to my laptop every night. Lesson learned: Always bring enough memory card, and never shoot jpg. One of the must-go places in Tokyo is Tsukiji Fish Market. There can find the best tasting sushi ever. The two famous sushi restaurants are Daiwa Sushi and Sushi Dai. Personally I like Sushi Dai better, but Daiwa generally has a shorter waiting time, if you couldn't get up early enough to avoid the long line.

End of November is the Kouyou, or Red Leaves season. As the name implies, leaves turn red during that time. The exact time varies from year to year so whether you see them or not depends on a bit of luck. One of the best places to see them is to go to the temples in Kyoto.
Look for these pair of teddy bears fishing on the Path of Philosophy. They seem to replace them often so you will probably see a slightly different teddy bear than these.
